Hypnobirthing Classes

Hypnobirth couples trainingI teach the Wise Hippo Birthing Programme (WHBP) which is a complete 10 hour course that runs as 4 x 2.5 hour classes. A workbook and 5 x audio tracks are provided to expectant clients to support their practice at home.

Birthing should be a joyful experience, not one filled with pain and fear. These classes teach you to work with your body and not against it. Many women find that they don't need any pain relief at all. They are in control and alert, and the length of labour can often be shorter.

The father has an active and vital role to play in the birth of his child. Dads no longer need to feel like a 'spare part.' Parents describe how their baby was able to enter into the world gently, drug free and in a calmer environment.

When to Start Hypnobirthing Classes?

It is ideal to start your classes as early as possible. Many women start after their 20 week scan. This gives you ample time to absorb and learn the techniques and practice until it is second nature to you and your birth partner. Like any major life event, such as a wedding, one usually plans far in advance to ensure the day passes without a hitch. Following the WHBP should not be any different!

What is Covered?

We cover why it works and how it works. Visualisations and relaxations follow and then explanations of what labour and birth entails and how you can apply the techniques during that time.

It doesn't matter if you are sceptical - that's absolutely fine! It doesn't require you to believe in it - It will work anyway. Whatever happens, you will be calm and a calm gentle birth is the best start in life for your baby. Its an amazing gift for you and for your baby.
