Qualifications and Expertise

I trained for three years at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a highly respected institution. I use an integrated approach within my practice using Eastern (TCM), Five Elements and Qi Gong alongside Western medicine. I have also trained with John Tyndel at the Yuan Traditional Medicine College to qualify as an auricular acupuncturist.

I have also attended numerous postgraduate courses in acupuncture given by highly respected figures in the world of TCM medicine, including Giovanni Maciocia, Jeffrey Yuan, Jani White, Julian Scott, Debra Betts and Jane Lyttleton. I am a member of the Acupuncture Childbirth Team (ACT). While I specialise in Gynaecology and assisting people along the journey to becoming a parent, I have also acquired experience in the treatment of pain, anxiety and depression, headaches, migraines and digestive problems. I have trained with Katharine Graves to become a qualified Hypnobirthing teacher.

In 2014, I plan to expand my knowledge further by studying Chinese Herbs.

I hope that my knowledge and understanding will help you with whatever you contact me for.

My Story

I was inspired to study Chinese medicine after initially studying massage & Reiki. I often felt limited by what I could offer my clients & felt the need to explore other therapies. Intuitively I felt that many of my clients' problems were far more deep seated than the symptoms (such as back ache or headaches for example) presenting to me. Acupuncture has enabled me to look deeper & address the root causes instead of dealing solely with the symptoms, which is so typical of many therapies.

There is a saying "different diseases, one treatment, same disease, different treatments." This basically means that if 5 clients came to the clinic with, for example, headaches, the diagnosis for each person could be completely different. However, it also means that if 5 people came for treatment with different illnesses such as headache, back pain or insomnia; each of those clients could have the same diagnosis.

I have been consistently amazed by how acupuncture has improved the health of my patients. (Please read my testimonials).
